ABOUT US

The Research Group Discourse, Social Networks and Socio-Political Identities (DISCURSO) is linked to the Graduate Program in Social Sciences in Agriculture and Society Development (CPDA) and to the International Relations Course at DDAS / ICHS at Universidade Rural Rural do Rio de Janeiro.
The group's work seeks to promote the political analysis of discursive practices and narrative strategies with the construction of socio-political identities from the contributions of the Essex School and, also, from the approach of interpretive frameworks. It also seeks to deepen the analysis of social networks and new media as an expression of political reconfiguration of discourses, new forms of power, colonization of subjectivities and construction of new territories of political action at national and international level.
